Fatima Ezzeddine: Where Passion Meets Enterprise

Fatima Ezzeddine, from Deir Qanoun Al Nahr in Sour, transformed her passion for traditional Lebanese cuisine into a growing entrepreneurial journey.
After participating in a food processing training delivered by the Association for the Development of Rural Capacities (ADR) in the framework of the “Economic Strengthening and Social Stability of Vulnerable and Displaced Communities in South Lebanon” project, Fatima chose to specialize in authentic Lebanese dishes—driven by a deep commitment to preserving culinary heritage and sharing the rich flavors of her community.
Through the training, she strengthened her technical skills in food production, hygiene, and quality standards. More importantly, she began to see her work not just as a source of income, but as a business with real potential.
With improved techniques and renewed confidence, Fatima enhanced the quality of her products and expanded her production. She started reaching more customers, turning her home-based activity into a small but promising enterprise rooted in tradition.
Today, Fatima is not only contributing to her household income—she is building economic resilience while safeguarding Lebanon’s culinary identity. Her journey reflects how entrepreneurship can empower women to transform cultural heritage into sustainable livelihoods.

Fatima’s story is a testament to the power of skills, passion, and entrepreneurship in creating opportunities and preserving traditions for future generations.
